Behaviour Change Communication

Lack of awareness, belief, attitude and behavior of community people constitute factors that  contribute greatly to the cause of the underutilization of developmental services that make for quality living, hence there is need to bring about a positive change to these factors.

In line with it’s mission – to improve access to information and service, HEALIN carries outBehavior Change Communication (BCC) intervention with individualscommunities and the general society. HEALIN  has developed communication strategies that promote positive behaviors which are appropriate for positive lifestyle. This in turn provides a supportive environment which enables people to initiate and sustain positive and desirable behavior outcomes and also creates informed demand for information and services.

Some of the strategies include community based social mobilization, Interpersonal communication, peer Education, Drama etc.
