Through our partnership with Pact Nigeria we reached 1,200 persons with PMTCT services in 2013 and recorded an increase in the uptake of Antenatal care (ANC) and Post Natal care(PNC) uptake as well as the involvement of Traditional birth attendants in promoting PMTCT practices .
HEALIN has an ongoing 15,000persons target to be met by the end of this project year, so far more than about 80% of the target have been met. Community leaders and stakeholders have owned up the project and now works with HEALIN in integrating her programs into community events and function thereby making it posible for the people to be reach in great numbers. Increase in ANC uptake remains major characteristic feature of the project.
HEALIN projects to reach 25,000 persons with PMTCT messages in 2015 such that by the end of the project year about 41,200 person would have been reached with PMTCT services and there will have been a tracked increase in Antenatal care (ANC) and Post Natal care(PNC) uptake, while empowered Traditional Birth Attendants (TBA) will use hand gloves during their care and treatment sessions and refer their clients to facilities for delivery in cases of suspected possible complication.
